No personal experience, but dyspnea is one of the listed common side effects of Jakafi.

I found Jakarvi to be a wonder drug. I started it in november 1994 and just felt my body come back to life .It is really hard to put that feeling into words but over that evening my wife and I just looked at each other in wonder. She still calls it my wonder drug. The following morning I got on my regular bike and rode 2 miles to my stables and back to see if I could do it, because 24hrs earlier I wouldn'nt have considered it

It doesnt' work for everyone and its effects begin to fail over subsequent years. It was the first drug of this class and like other drugs such as Beta Blockers and others its restrictions have emerged over the subsequent years.

This is not unlike the first video methods being superseeded by VHS condemming 8-track etc.

Inevitably the first attempt to produce an anti MPN drug has limits. That is not to condem it or say don't try it, but it is not a panaceae and I have no doubt that rux will be superseeded by an alternative drug and a more advanced one in the future. I can't even begin to tell you when that may be.

All I can do is wish you who may be the happy reciepients of son of rux the best wishes

Hi Buggerbear,

I have experienced this mildly, and find practicing Mindfulness, becoming aware of my breathing pattern and then altering it using deep breathing while still being mindful, following the breath through my body and out again helps. Rux has been a wonder drug for me, and has improved my quality of life no end, no more itching, night sweats or venesections, and I am more active.

Good luck and have fun,
