At risk letter

Absolute joke this ! I have ET and am still under the hospital for kidney cancer . I haven't received an at risk letter despite my practice informing them that I was at high risk. My wife works in one of the large supermarkets and has had to go back into work as they wanted to see the letter specifying this in order to give her the 12 weeks off. After doing a bit of research it would seem upto half a million others still haven't received said letter ! So much for looking after the vulnerable.

My partner has not received a letter but Sainsbury’s have his name on a list from the Government.

I haven’t had a letter either so I registered on gov website. I had an email this morning from Sainsbury’s saying that the government has now placed me on the list as a vulnerable person. Go on and register and perhaps your company will accept it if he is on the list. Also point out that it has been on the news that many people who should have had a letter haven’t received it yet. Good luck

Hi conno61,

If it's any help they announced on the briefing yesterday that they realised that they have missed quite a few people of the list so a second wave of letters will be going out this week to those who haven't received one yet.

Stay safe

I haven't received mine either. It is ridiculous. Lucky I live in a small village where the shops and locals have formed a community help hub, so I can get some food delivered and I am just going to ask if someone will pick up my medication from the chemist. I have registered on the Gov help line, but no text or letter received yet! There must be lots of older people who have been missed and I don't know how they are managing!! Take care everyone - blessings to you all xx

I have registered and heard nothing. Fortunately my daughter is doing our shopping.

I applied to go on the list on the Public Health England site.

Sainsbury’s informed me this morning that I am on the revised list and can register for one of their non-existent grocery collection of delivery slots.
