Does anyone take biotin and are there any side effects ? Thankyou

Juliet, I took 10,000 mcg Biotin daily for a few months after experiencing hair loss from Pegasys interferon. I had no bad side effects from Biotin and the hair loss eventually subsided. Impossible to say for sure if there was a causal effect on the hair from the Biotin as I also used special shampoos and hair products at the time. But my nails became visibly stronger so it is likely that it helped with the hair as well!

Hi Juliet

For myself I’ve been taking Biotin 5000 mg-1 tablet every day for years and have had no side effects

it does help my nails quite a bit and hair somewhat

when I have stopped taking it,my nails start breaking and when I brush my hair

more hair falls off

So for me it works

hopefully if you choose to take it it will work also for you

I take the Biotin and I have had no side effects since is it a supplement
