Hi Leonardo, I assume that your haematologist has prescribed Apixaban, so it should be ok, but if you are unsure then phone and check. Maz

I've been taking Apixaban and Hydrea for the last 6 months (prescribed by haemo). Appears to be effective as my blood clot has gone, yay!

Following a significant pulmonary thrombosis in Jan. 2017 I was put on Apixaban 10mg, reduced to 5mg after 6 months. On Xmas Day I had a similar incident and was told Apixaban hadn’ t worked for me so put on Warfarin + Dalteparin injections. INR has fluctuated greatly -prob. Cos of gastric flu so has caused both me and the NHS considerable hastle. If poss. I would like to return to Apixaban or a similar alternative , and wonder if anyone has ha a similar experience. I am 80 yrs.old- have ET and Jak 2 foratleast 10 yrs. - on 9x500mg hydroxycarbomide per week.

Many thanks for your replies.
