when talking about sitting in the sun my consultant says I must wear factor 50 sunglasses and a baseball cap but avoid when the sun is at its hottest

Hi Steven, yes you must take precautions in the sun by wearing a high factor sun screen, good sunglasses and cover up as much as you can, if you are taking Hydroxycarbamide then your skin may be more sensitive to the sun whilst you are taking hydroxycarbamide so it would be wise to avoid exposure to the sun, using sunscreen and wearing protective clothing and a hat.
