Is low grade fever a symptom of MPN? I had one about a month ago and was sick with what I thought was a flu. A month later I have another fever but I did have dental Work done yesterday.

low Grade Fever and MPN
I'm aware that it is a potential side effect of some of the drugs used to treat MPNs. I'm not sure whether it is a symptom of the MPN (or any particular MPN) itself.
I also don't know whether having an MPN - the disease itself or the effect of drugs - makes us more susceptible to infection. I'd be interested to know some more!
I find it difficult to untangle symptoms of the disease with symptoms / side effects of the disease when treated with certain drugs.
My haematologist wants to be informed if I have a temp over 38. Mine got up to 39.2 a couple of weeks ago & I was quite poorly with shivers & sweats. Rang haematology for advice & they asked me to come in. They did full blood count & gave me antibiotics . I had a routine appointment later in the week. They were hopeful it was just a virus but I think fevers can be an indication that something is going in with the MPN.
I definitely go through spells of temps around 37.5 to 38.5 with no obvious reason for them but I also have osteoarthritis so GP wasn't sure whether it was due inflammation relating to that rather than the PV.
Kind regards Aime xx😺😺
