When I try going to sleep I can literally feel my pulse in my neck and it's extremely uncomfortable. I don't think it's anxiety related, but it makes going to sleep daunting task. Is this normal with ET?
Hope I can get some answers, thanx.

Hi Jessie, not very nice, I have had a similar problem in the past but mine is tied in with, well so I have been told, with my under active thyroid and the thyroxin being a too higher does and making my heart race, so when in bed I can feel my heart beat in my neck and throat for some strange reason and this also keeps me awake, so then they lower the dose and it is all OK but eventually it has to be put back up as all my thyroid symptoms start to come back on the lower dose so all very frustrating, bad enough that we have ET but this is controlled really well with the Hydroxycarbamide, so although I know how you I put mine down to the thyroid problem.
Sorry I cannot be of any use, maybe it could be down to medication try and speak with your doctor.
I don't think ET has anything to do with it. I've had this and while at a Heath spa in Austria the doctors there told me this can be commonly down to vitamin B12 deficiency. Guess what... after having supplements it went away. This is after lots of test with doctors here as it can be a sign of thickening arteries in your neck for which they had given me a Doppler Scan. I would try the vitamins if everything else is clear / ok.
