Skull changes

So have just reached 60 and tonight noticed I have a kind of bump about an inch wide from the front to back of my skull. Is this age related or am I weird?

Sounds familiar. I am 67 and noticed a year ago similar change. Somehow I'm not worried but curious about this skull bone change. Are you planning to see a doctor?

Hi, I noticed some changes on my skull while ago. Something like grooves and bumps on front an back of my head. I am patient with ET Jak2+, now three and half years since diagnosed, and I am wondering if this bone changes is related with bone marrow changes. Wishing you well

How extraordinary, had never associated it before, also ET Jak+ and before diagnosis, strange lump on forehead....maybe more than coincidences, perhaps?? Best wishes, Tinkerbell13

I noticed a change in the shape of my skull about a year ago. After going to my gp twice & then a neurologist, I was diagnosed with having benign lesions on top of my skull.

However he discovered that I had a high platelet count & from there I saw a haematologist. I have since been diagnosed, after blood tests and a BMB, with ET and am CALR+.

I have never heard of it, which I should be grateful for. What is it, there is a lot written about people on this site having it. Sorry to be so ignorant but am interested.

Hi yellowpuma60,

You don't say which mpn/ mpd you have been diagnosed with? If you go to the website mpdvoice.org.uk this will give you all the information on the three types - essential thrombocythaemia (ET), polycythaemia vera (PV) and myelofibrosis (MF).

Best wishes

Judy

Hi Aime,

I'm good thank you. I reduced my working hours to 3 days back in January. Still really busy I don't know how I managed working full time. Abbie, who you met with me at the London forum had a little boy - Joseph last May and has just returned to work part time so I have him on a Thursday. He's an absolute joy but does wear me out! I must admit the older I get the more I think about making memories for my grandchildren as my mum done for my girls. Luckily they all live close so I see them lots.

I hope you and the family are keeping as well as you can.

Love

Judy xx
