I live in Cumbria but am very happy to travel, thinking relaxed venue......
Louise
Hi Louise sounds like a great idea, I think there was a similar get together in Harrogate which unfortunately I couldn't make. As a novice with this sort of thing can you maybe suggest what type/s of venue might be suitable. . I guess it would depend on how many were interested etc and a venue we wouldnt have to book / pay for. .
Also were you thinking of a drive there and back within the day. . Sorry to ask all these q's but though im interested I can't drive for too long at a go. I support the idea of a relaxed venue too but struggle to bring one to mind. Be interesting though to see what range of responses you get to your good suggestion. . Cheers JR
I would love to join you, but down in the depths of Devon it just wouldn't be possible, Sadly!
Love the photo Louise! You look very different from the one you sent me while you were out walking! If that's what healthy eating does for you, bring it on!

Hi everyone,
Well, that's 3 of us in different spots!
Hmmm. Where are you JR?
Swede, Bolton is only an hour and 20 from Windermere - I was born and brought up there for the first 16 years of my life - both I and my husband went to Bolton school about 90 years ago.
Maybe we should wait and see if there are any other takers?
By the way Swede, there's a forum coming up at The Christie I think on the 28th April during the day, so if you can make it, it would be great ......
Louise
Hi Louise,
Yes, that sounds great but I am working a full day that day, I am sorry to say.
I don't really drive to places I haven't been or without a co driver, I am new to all this lefthand driving palaver...
So, why did you leave sunny Bolton? (nearly fell of the chair here, by laughter...)
MonaLisa
Hi Louise what you need is a friendly pub landlord sympathetic to our cause ,,maybe with a meeting room .or working mans club .!!. I think it's great that Jedi reject is keen only problem is at times I can't understand his dialect ,,might just be me!! May I say I love the new picture ,especially the hat!!isnt it nice to put a face to a name?? Don't we all look interesting people? Keep twinkling. Xx
Breezy Blackpool Louise. . x
Hi Louise great idea! I live in Manchester too but am willing to travel.
Re the forum do I have to sign up to go or can we just turn up?
Thanks
Diana
Hi Louise
Great suggestion. I have ET and live in South Yorkshire but would love to meet up with other members of this happy clan as the forums always seem to be either way down south or way up north with nothing for us living mid country.
Hi everyone.
Ok, well that's a few I guess.
Here's my direct email which is easier than waiting for notifications on this site I think.
Please email me direct if you would like to meet up. louisebroughton@btinternet.com
Meanwhile, we could see if there might be a few more folk interested ?
Thanks Maz for the update re Manchester forum. Will wait to hear from you re confirmation.

Sherry

I would be interested. i have PV and live in West Yorkshire. Never been to any meetings so would be really interested.
Would love too but the sunny north-east of Scotland is a bit too far away!! Hope it goes well. Kind regards Aime
Crikey we are a widespread bunch.
It seems very clear that everyone with one of these diseases is (a) most friendly (b) delightful!
Meeting up - a good idea. Guess techno ones could even have us all chatting together online....! Best regards to you all, Tinkerbell
Would love to meet up but live in Epping in Essex

bernie62
Hi
I would love to meet up too - live in leeds so Blackpool would be good for me too - I have et and never get chance to get down south for the forums etc
Thanks
Hi I live in in northumberland but spend a lot of time in the lakes would like to meet up diagnosed July 2013 with pv also glad to find this site answered a lot of questions thanks all
I live in Kent, not far from London or Essex. I have planned to attend a forum but would be glad to meet informally as well.
I can offer a venue for people to chat following a forum in Manchester.
Tea, coffee and biscuits can be made available.
28th April is pencilled in my diary if you need my facilities and I look forward to the forum in Manchester
Hi everyone,
Yey! What a great response!
I've just been reading through all the replies and have narrowed down the possibles for an informal meet to the following people:
Jedi reject ( what on earth is your real name by the way!!) Mona Lisa, Malachy ( Diana)
Sksar, Suzanneh, bernie62, Dingwall, badger, Steve_m - thanks Steve for the offer of coffee following forum. There's usually tea coffee bics at the forum, but will look forward to seeing you there!
I'm not sure quite how to take this forward now.
I really feel it might be easier, if we do intend to meet up, to email direct rather than via this site, which not everyone will remember to look at.
So, if you're still keen, please leave a message here, or email me direct....louisebroughton@btinternet.com
On a different note - for those who haven't seen patientpower.info - have a look at the latest video featuring Dr Ruben Mesa and a superb explanation of the words
Myeloproliferative Neoplasm......
Best wishes
Louise
hi, I live in Pembrokeshire and im not sure if anyone lives over here. let me know if you do. I have been to Liverpool and met up with other ET'ers as friends which was really nice and we have kept in contact. so it is worth meeting up informally if you can.
Only just seen this as my computer has been in hospital all week but just had to say what a great idea for the informal meet. Without MPD Voice I should have continued to feel very alone during the past two years. When I read how some of you suffer and how brave and up-beat you continue to be it makes my condition seem so much easier to cope with and to actually meet someone else with PRV would be great. I did go to one of the forums at St Thomas's but I was only a few weeks diagnosed and it was all a bit overwhelming so I am sure I did not make the most of opportunities offered then.
By the way I am in Surrey and London within very easy reach so if anyone else is game I will keep a watch. Best wishes everyone.
Linds
Hi all, we are in Teesside but travel to London frequently....(husband just diagnosed with MF) for anyone who needs to get to London from the North East, if you book 12 weeks in advance train fares are as low as £30 return...just in case anyone wants to go to a London forum... Will mail Louise as requested and look forward to finding out when the next meeting is.... With regards Sylvia & Mike
