Allodynia has become a joke.

So I have suffered with Allodynia on my head a long time and I have adapted to its pain when resting my head on a pillow, washing my hair, wearing a hat etc

BUT now its burning my scalp from...sweat! That's right, whenever I sweat from my head it burns me!

It's the hot season in the UK so as you can imagine sweating is only natural.

The most annoying part is that allodynia is a symptom of migraine, so in order to cure allodynia, you need to treat the migraines. And that is another can of worms!

One possible cause of burning feeling is Erythromelalgia. The HU community is very poorly used and seems to have been largely abandoned but might be worth a look.

Thanks for this. I haven't experienced it in my feet or hands, but it certainly is one to remember as my scalp does go red sometimes.

It can occur on face/head and elsewhere. Just most common on feet/legs/hands/arms.

And don’t be mislead by the insistence of some that it is a strictly genetic disorder with known mechanism. It is a syndrome with multiple possible causes rather than a definite disease.
