I had the worse migraine for the last few days. It was so bad today my husband said I looked high. I was hurting so bad I layer down to. Watch a movie and I was out and I woke up to a even worse migraine. I'm on ajovy shot it helps.. It knocks out more then half of my migraines but when I get theses bad ones it gets bad. I was at the point of calling 911 to do the pain and pressure in the back of my head. I still got it but not as bad but I feel like its coming back. ..should I got to er.. Or cry and be in pain

Of course.. unless you get treatment it will most likely not stop.

Are you putting ice on your neck and back? Trying a hot shower? Does hot peppermint tea help?

What other preventive measures are you taking? What is really working for me is magnesium glycinate. I take it 3 to 4 times a day. Not only have my migraines gotten less painful, but now I rarely get them. I also try to treat my back and neck pain.

Hope your pain stops soon. Not fun.

I have tried Aimvoig injections. After 5 months my constipation had gotten so bad, every bone in my body ached, I itched all over to the point I could scratch all my skin off. They helped a little with the migraines, but I couldn't tolerate the side effects. I now take Rizitriptan for migraines and injectable sumatriptan when the other doesn't work. It saves my life!

I still have the migraine. I used heat and ice.. I suffer with serve neck pain do to a car accident I was in 3 years ago. I was in a 5 car pile up and I was the middle car that was literally underneath the car upfront of me. I have spinal cord injury bc of the accident. I suffer with chronic severe neck pain 247 but the headaches usually came and go. I'm on Naratriptan hcl 2.5mg aka Amerge.. The first time I took it. It actually helped now when I take it, it does noting. I'm on my way to the er it's getting so bad my nose is bleeding and my eyes are hurting so bad I can't stand it. I have past out do to pain 2x already.. I'll keep in touch

Hi Sexysnowbunnie hope you are feeling better by now. Your migraines sound horrible. Is it possible you are getting rebound headaches from the combination of medications you are on. I know if I take triptans too often (or too many in a day) I get a rebound headache over the other eye about 12 hours after the first one has stopped. You need to see your GP and try migraine preventatives, either tablets or Botox. Also when you get a migraine try what happens if you go to bed and rest, struggling on makes them worse and your neck pain is likely making you very tired. Worth keeping a headache diary too as some specialist will surely ask for it and it may help you see patterns you can prevent. Hope you find some relief

Yes this also happens with me. I thought they were 'rebounds' from taking too much meds but I was told that actually it's still the same migraine. It just stays dormant. So you get one and take meds and it goes only for it to come back. This means the headache lay dormant and the meds did not properly kill it off. Found that interesting

What preventives are you taking? I suffered almost daily and now things have gotten so much better.

Making sure you are eating and not skipping meals ( I require protein at every meal) getting adequate sleep, preventatives are what have really changed things for me.

Have you asked about injectable medications ( imitrix) helps me so much!

Hope you are much better

Have you figured out what triggers your migraines. You've got to start there.

A migraine is your body's way of telling you that it doesn't like something you are exposing it to. Figure it out, avoid it at all cost and your migraines will stop.

The above statement was told to me over 7 years (20 years into my migraine journey).

He also told me, taking abortive and daily meds to numb the pain is like putting a bandaid over a large gaping wound. The bandaid is only going to help for so long and eventually, will stop helping.

Find out what your triggers are and avoid them.

Well, I had given up all artificial dies and avoided most processed foods, stopped attending weddings, stopped grocery shopping unless it was after 11pm.

I knew chemicals were my triggers. I eventually became homebound and made my house chemical free. Yet, still had migraines 25 times a month.

On Jan 11th, I had another level 10 migraine, and had thrown up 6 times. I took a narcotic in hopes of passing out and waking up pain free, but it didnt work.

On Jan 12th, I was rushed in to get another IV and as he struggled to get my vein, I blurted out. I'm giving up all animal products for 30 days. I then passed out.

Upon waking up, i only ate non-animal based foods. I also stopped taking every migraine medication.

10 days later, my migraines stopped.

By day 30, I was migraine and medication free. So, I continued on.

I just celebrated my 13th month of eating plant based and I've only had less than 5 migraines. Each migraine hit me about 10 minutes after I cheated and had dairy. Cheesecake, butter, cream and pasta made in the US (2 times).

I've researched why pasta and found out US farmers use Round-Up 2 weeks before harvesting their crops.

So, I now eat pasta imported from Italy and I continue to be migraine free.

During my journey I have learned there are lots of toxic chemicals that thr FDA allows to be pumped into our foods deemed safe for human consumption.

Avoid the chemicals and your migraines will stop.

Do a 30 day challenge and see how you feel.

Oh, and doctors are very well aware that dangers in foods, but they get huge kickbacks for writing perscriptions, so they will never suggest going plant based

I went from having over 20 appointments a year to seeing my primary doctor 1 time.

Good luck.
