Here is a more lighthearted post! I was making our meal this evening, chopping onions. I had a sharp pain on the right side of my head, similar to what I would associate with the start of a migraine. It has only just occurred to me that this has happened several times when I've been making dinner, sometimes it comes onto a headache, tonight it passed. Does the aroma/enzymes released from an onion affect anyone else? This could get me out of cooking more often

Onions!
Now you mention it, onions???? 😫
So they do affect you? Do they give you an instant headache?
Hard to say as I suffer almost daily but use one heck of a lot of onions. Another give up I think and see if it helps. I was told about Red Bull and thought, no way. I tried it the other day and it took away the sickly headache immediately? Coincidence? I’m not sure but definitely going to try it again
Foods made with onions and/or garlic gives me headache (next day) as it eventually causes problem in my digestive system. However it does not give me headache by the smell of it or instantly.
You can buy frozen ready chopped onions in the supermarket - try those and see if it makes a difference.
Hi, yes, instant headache for me. Much worse if I accidentally eat some, but the aroma in the air gives me a tight feeling over the surface of my head. Onions are known to be a migraine trigger.
