Yes. I had the treatment under Prof Goadsby at the National Neuro hospital in London. It made a small difference. I think some people find it more effective than I did. Anything is worth a try! All the best to you. Pippa

Thanks pippin I’ve heard it’s not very successfully . I’m not sure I’ll have it I understand it’s not a very nice procedure

Hi, yes i had it. During treatment (over 5 days ) i had one migraine and a tension headache every other day. I think the lack of sleep during treatment was causing the headaches but they were manageable.

Didn't help my migraines at all, still have hemacrania continua as bad as ever.

I noticed from another migraine site I'm on that USA and Canada migraine sufferers seem to get injections containing DHE and it gets good results for some.

I'm UK, not sure where you are.

It's worth a try, good luck.

As regards it not being a nice proceedure, I didn't find it too bad. You have a line put in, so there's some discomfort with that, but not a big deal. The DH can make you nauseous so they give you an anti-emetic before each infusion which worked perfectly for me. I had no nausea. I had a migraine when I got home! But I think they were then less frequent for a while.

Make sure you get on a list for receiving the new preventative injection erenumab or fremanezumab when it is approved!

By the way, if you have chronic migraine like me, I just heard from my migraine nurse that frovatriptan causes less rebound headaches than the other triptans so I'm going to give that a try.

Best of luck

Pippa
