Unfortunately those are common side effects for Amitriptyline. I take it too and had about a month just like you with a heart rate of 147bpm, the neuro told me to stop taking it because of the effects it was having on my heart but because it offers me so much pain relief I have been told to try a beta blocker with it which has been fantastic for the racing heart that amitriptyline causes.. You should definitely speak to your doctor/neurologist though he may be able to offer you an alternative. Hope this helps!

I would definitely see your doctor it is recommended on the leaflet packaging of this medication to seek medical advice if you have these symptoms. I'm on it too had some of they side effects but only mildly. Hope it gets better soon x
