Has anyone in United Kingdom tried Vyepti infusion for chronic daily migraine and did it help ease migraine pain. I am in Ireland and we were told Vyepti would be available from 1st January, but so far nothing . Everything that I have tried has had no benefit. I have talked to Lundbeck Ireland and they cannot understand why migraine patients cannot access Vyepti.It would give me hope if anyone could reply to me with any positive news. Hello, I have tried it once in Germany (January 2023) before moving to the UK a few weeks ago. Though in Germany it had also just come out and I was one of the first few people to try it at my neurologist practice.

Unfortunately, it did not help me, but according to my doctor it can take more than 1 try for it to take affect. The studies seem to be very positive. I hope you can get it soon and I hope it will help you.

Thank you for your reply. There is still no sign of HSE IRELAND approving it here. I used to go to Prof Peter Goadsby at Kings College before Brexit and Covid.I got covid last September which made migraines much worse. My doctor feels Atogepant (Quilipta ) taken Daily would help me, but it is with EMA now for approval so I do not know when we get it in Ireland and it would be very expensive.I tried Rimegepant 8 pills 250 Euro but had to them due to side effects. There is also a device in US Neurolief RELIVION DEVICE but they cannot give me a date when we will have it in Ireland.All I have at the moment are my triptans 8 days a month and naproxen.Let us hope that all of use with migraine will get some relief from the chronic pain soon. My neurologist can do no more for me.Healing thoughts 195fifi.

I'm sorry to hear that. Do they say in Ireland that you can only take up to 8 triptans a months and do you take naproxen on top of that? I was at a painclinic in 2021 for 3 weeks (Schmerzklinik Kiel) and they said the rule is 10 triptans in 30 days. I was just courious because I've been taken up to 11 lately because of bad very frequent migraines and now have to take a bit of a break because I fear now that the triptans are causing some of the migraines.

Have you heard of Cefaly? I have just had a look at RELIVION and it seems quite similar to me. It also works with electric impulses. It is expensive but I quite like it. What it does for me is to distract from the pain when it is bad and is a relief for an hour at least.

Hello they do not really like older people taking triptans. I will be 70 in October and they constrict the blood vessels. I only get 2 hours relief from a triptan now as my migraines are so bad.He feels the benefit of the triptans for me are worth taking them Regards 195fifi

I take 3 triptans per day for 8 days. I bought Cefaly some years ago but it did not help and bought the new version last year but it was of no benefit and it can feel painful on your forehead, so I was able to return it. There is nothing like the Relivion device as it treats the pain at the front and back of the head. If you look up Dr Stewart Tepper he is an expert on all the devices and explains how each one works. 195fifi
