I have recently had a band of tight skin form around my foreskin. I have always been able to pull it back without problems. Now it's issue

Sounds like the start of phimosis to me,I’d swallow my embarrassment and nip down to have a chat with my GP if I were you.If it’s not severe then steroid cream and stretching can sort it out,but sometimes it requires circumcision to cure the problem if that doesn’t work.Sooner you see the doc,soonest sorted😊👍

Exactly what Mubbles said.I had the same for years and it slowly but surely got worse. It happens because of age, and tiny micro cuts that happen are replaced by scar tissue over time so the problem gets worse. Ultimately you'll need circumcision as I did.

I agree with you completely. Fisheverton's problem sounds very similar to the problem I had. Over the span of a year my tight foreskin became stuck to my glans even after using the medicated cream (Daktacort) prescribed by my doctor. Ultimately resulting in me requiring a circumcision. 26 days post-op and all is well. My stiches dissolved in 23 days. I've been showering daily since day 4. Oddly though, Fisheverton's profile says Female? 🤔

Try ordinary coconut oil after washing. Helped me a lot as my skin got drier with age (I'm 71).

I had exactly the same… overtime it will get worse because of more scar tissue… I had a circumcision….. problem solved… happy days again 👍

Agreed. Had no option other than having a circumcision as my foreskin shrank so tightly it would not attempt to stretch over my glans. Ultimately my foreskin stuck to my glans. Post-op day 26 and all is well, with no problems or issues. Wishing everyone as easy and pain-free healing as myself. Good luck all. (aged 72)
