Hi, my first post here. I have for last 2 months has sore skin on head of penis. I have seen a doctor on 2 occasions now and been prescribed caniston cream, then stronger steroid creams, but it's still no cleared up. It's seems more sore and effected if erect or ejaculate. Any one had similar issues? There is a pain there on occasions, more after urination.

Sore skin on Penis
Well my GP said male thrush, having tryed a couple of different creams with maybe only small improvments he is sending me to urologist...will try upload some pictures.
Do you have a regular sexual partner ?
Some years back I had similar issue to you. Turns out my Wife had yeast infection but showed no symptoms. So when I used the canasten it cleared me up, then I went and reinfected myself !
I saw my GP who recognised the issue and I left with a prescription for my Wife ?
BTW, canasten is available in tablet form which is sometimes better.
Use caution when using prescription steroid creams on the penis. Follow doctor’s directions in terms of amount and most importantly, how long to use the cream. My dermatologist gave me a prescription for Hydrocortisone cream once and she gave me a stern warning to only use it for 3 days and then stop. There are side effects of the steroid creams such as thinning of skin, atrophy, waxy and translucent appearance etc that can occur with PROLONGED use. Obviously these side effects are a bit more acceptable when used on other parts of the body but the penis would be very undesirable.
I was told you use one for 2 weeks!
