what were your signs and symptoms?
Partial paralysis, blinding headaches none of which the like I have ever experienced , stiffness of the neck, aversion to bright light and extreme fatigue.

on the morning of 23 nov 2003 i got up for work as usual for work but my legs where aching
as though i was gong down with the flu
No orther flu signs so went back to bed and woke up close to a month later in icu that was the only symptom i had and had BM but i was lucky In the night my wife realised i was haveing trouble breathing rang 999 a anbulance car turned up did all his checks and could find nothing wrong
He was leaving a ambulance crew came as he was leaving and thank fully decided to take me to hospital to be checked over i am so thank full they did
When i got yo hospital the consultant did not know what my problem was ,he thought i might have had a heart attack ,stroke or chest infection put me on strong antbioltics The spots came out at 11am that morning that's when they new i had BM
so 9 years on still suffering grat problems but as my doctor says i died twice and i am still here

Hi, our 1 year old had a high temp that wouldn't come down with calpol. Limp body, cold hands and feet. not eating or drinking, high pitch wimpering. He had a very rare strain HIf bacteria. Has left him deaf and with mobility issues. He's a happy little boy though and has had cochlear implants fitted so the outlook is good.
