I am slowly recovering from meningitis that I picked up 2 months ago. I still have headaches, though they are not very strong (unless I use a computer screen - this is going to hurt later!)
What i wanted to know is whether anybody has taken a flight at a similar stage in the recovery process to where i am? I have flights booked for next week and i am worried that the changes in air pressure etc that happen whilst flying can set my recovery back? Or is flying not such a problem?
Thanks!

I flew 3 months after BM as I live on a tiny island and had to return to the mainland. Flying was ok but it was in a small plane and the cabin wasn't pressurised. Sunglasses were essential and the noise didn't help my head but I don't think my ears popped anymore than usual.
The biggest problem was tiredness. I found the whole experience exhausting. I also booked special assistance as the airports on the mainland are so big. I struggle to walk and was really grateful of a wheel chair, even though I was reluctant to book it.
Mind you, everyone is different so you might be fine. I also didn't seek medical advice and perhaps I should have.

Your post regarding a post from Tiga regarding flying with VM is totally incorrect. I have just phoned them regarding how long to wait before going on holiday. I was due to fly today but having been diagnosed with VM 4 days ago, and having holiday booked to start today we have had to cancel. On top of the illness, there is cancellation of the hotel and flights etc. The reply to any questions I have is that they are not able to comment on a medical matter and I must approach my GP!
