Dreading Tomorrow

Im attending a medical assessment for ESA tomorrow morning and am totally dreading it - I've had a thumping headache all day and my neck is really achy too. Didn't sleep very well last night and know that I probably won't again tonight. My head is just spinning with so many things to remember. I'm not having a good day today :(

I guess it's all over now but I hope it went well. It's such a shame you have to go through so much trauma to get the support you need. Hope you got Better nights sleep too.

Thankyou Dene, Tiga, Daffodil and Blim for your kind words. It was not a great experience as I felt very vulnerable especially as people were turning up drunk or kiccking off because they had to wait. Thankfully my husband was with me but even so I did end up in total tears. I took as much evidence as I could with me including medication, info re: Meningitis and a statement written by my daughter (didn't think to get anything off GP beforehand). The doc I saw has put all that evidence with the file.

I do not use any aids at present but I have recently been diagnosed with PTSD and referrals have been made to Neurology and Rheumatoid specialists. My head is very fuzzy at the moment as I have so much going on and every day I am battling with pain and tiredness. I was so exhuasted after yesterday that I had to go to bed for a while when we got home.

I have no idea which way this will go but if I need to appeal any decision I will be getting my GP and Psychol;ogist to write supporting letters - I just have to wait now - no timescale given so watch this space.

hi

i dont know if u have had a ruling back yet

but when i went i was met with the comment

i have just read the letter from your doc and if they had sent it in before u need not have gone

it took about 5-6 weeks to get answer

if your interview was like mine all they did was ask questions of the information book u had filled in in advance

i do hope you get the right result

and good luck for the future

if u need to chat to some one who has gone through it please contact me
