after being released from the hospital a couple weeks ago with VM, when I lay down at night a certain way- anytime with my arms over my head, or laying at certain angles- or hopping out of a truck even and walking- I get this strange feeling in my head and ears.
it’s like extreme pressure at the top of my neck connecting to my head, upwards. And I hear it. Thinks kind of throb, or pulse. But a weird pressure and quiet pulse/throb sound. Where sound goes in and out pulsating. But I feel a heavy throb in my ears and maybe even in my eyes.
I hate it, and it makes it so I can’t sleep. I have to slowly sit back up all the way upright for about a minute to get it to subside. If I lay back down it does it right again. So I can’t sleep. Has anyone done this??? What do I do?

Yes, this was the same for me for quite awhile, I’d say 2 months. It was much more comfortable/quiet sitting up rather than laying down. I also had very bad tinnitus on top of the swooshing, which has decreased over time but is still very much there and makes falling asleep very frustrating. I am almost 8 months post diagnosis. The only advice I have is to be patient with yourself because nothing has helped me heal except time and lots of rest (to the point of complete boredom and despair) but after about six months things started improving. Best wishes that your recovery is speedy.
thanks for the reply! - I went to the eye doctor Friday because of some vision stuff since getting VM. They found a small spot of blood on one of my eyes optic nerve, and some mild swelling in both eyes. - we have to monitor this blood spot, because it’s new and we don’t know how it got there. Which is a little concerning. - however my eye doctor prescribed some steroid eye drops to take 4x’s a day. Since doing this, the head pressure that i mentioned has almost completely stopped. Last night I had my first nights full of sleep in weeks. I hope I never feel that pain again. Woof.
