Thank you for your post and words of encouragement. I feel pretty awful after VM, so I can't imagine how it has been for you.
I wish I could open up but people don't want to hear it. Not that I complain, but even trying to explain the my brain is still scrambled and it was directly affecting a specific situation, I've been told to not say anything and think positive.
One day at a time is all I can do, and most times I don't have the energy for the fun stuff after the must dos are done.
I feel your pain. 2nd week after BM attact I was treated by a psychiatrist who diagnosed me as bipolar and treated me with drugs that put me in a stray jacket for a month .. little did I know it was after effects of the BM.
Most important your HR needs to know what you go through ..record on paper .. next your physician or Gp .. you have to open up ..they are professionals and not there to judge you ..
I felt a burden at work and at home.. always feeling ill ...fatigue ..concentration problems..anti social ..never ending story
Some people make you feel your are crazy and imagine these things ..no you are not !!
You were very ill but you survived. You are lucky to be alive.
I hope I could help ...take care and know you are not alone
You are absolutely right! This is a wonderful way to share you thoughts & feelings with people who understand & who can empathize. Just because others can see what is going in your brain or body doesn’t mean your aren’t hurting in some way. Take time to heal & take care of yourself.
That is very good advice. It is easy to fall into dispare. It does take time to adjust to the after effects that you are left and find ways to deal with your new “normal”.
