Anyone familiar with a specialist? I live in Central New York but can travel. Have family in Atlanta and in Baltimore areas so those would be options for me.

Not sure if you found an answer or not. I have this as well. For me is was as easy as calling an ID dr. I was immediately treated.

I was able to contact an Infectious Disease Doctor. She put me on antiviral medication. I take every day. After my fifth time having meningitis. I am still recovering from my latest bout. She told me she has had a lot of luck treating patients like us with daily medication. I will have to take it forever but it's just once a day and it's better than having meningitis.

Oh, thanks for this helpful info. I just learned from this site re. Tagamet being useful as an antiviral. So glad you are doing much better. I will be too one of these days.....

I have hsv2, which caused meningitis. I found something that really helps, I stumbled across Graviola tea while trying to find something to help with my lymphatic issues. To my total shock within two weeks of drinking, it helped my lymph nodes/lymph glands, but it also relieved my headaches, neck pain, and all other symptoms. I've been feeling more normal than I ever expected for two years now, after one and a half years of a living nightmare. I took some other supplements for immune system and brain function. Hoping to help others find relief from this hell.
