I was diagnosed with Bacterial Meningitis when I was almost 2 years old. I have recently been having an issue with clear fluid leaking from one of my ears. I have been having this issue for several weeks now. After researching about this issue and being told that my ear is not infected and ear drum not ruptured, that it could be cerebrospinal fluid leaking from my ear. Im curious after seeing the relation between meningitis and spinal fluid leaks if this could potentially be in fact spinal fluid leaking from my ear (its clear, water like, and sticky fluid). I am wondering if it is possible I could have potentially had a small leak my whole life? Its all weird and leaves me curious. I know that spontaneous CSF leaks are uncommon but I also know that I have had bacterial meningitis and alot of times that is how you get it. I would appreciate feed back.

I also meant to say that I am now 33 years old. So its been 31years since my diagnosis of bacterial meningitis.
Think you need to see your GP and seek a referral to possibly ENT. If it is CSF leaking then it needs to be sorted.
Definitely seek medical guidance. That is something I wouldn't want to mess around with! Keep us posted.
