Wonderful site.

I came down with vm this past Monday here in Colorado. I was released from the hospital Thursday and after reading some of the comments on here, I feel very fortunate with how well I seem to be doing. I was only in the hospital three days and every day I feel a little better. I spend most of my day in bed but life is manageable. Of course, reading the comments has also showed me I'm not out of the woods. While I'm lucid, I still don't remember phone conversations I had the day before. I remember who I talked to, but have no recollection of anything we talked about. It takes me up to 5 seconds to find a word sometimes, but that's only once in a while. Most of the time I feel almost normal.

It seems VM can cause brain problems in the future. It's too early to tell how far back I'll come from this, but I'm encouraged. My sincerest sympathy to those who have struggled mightily and are still struggling with the after effects.

I'm glad this site is here and will use it, no doubt.
