Hey ,
Has anyone got insight into how the funds are being used to pay for care via care companies.
Does the LA have a handle on the spending of personal care budgets ?
247 care is required and the family are doing the majority of the care - All unpaid stepping in when the care team are unable to work or While a new placement is being found and they are home.
Eg 120 hours used per week from a pot of 168 - leaving - 48 un-used so realistically are they being paid 168 ? but not delivering these services & care.
What is the government doing to stop /reduce the over-spend on services not delivered, this could save money if it was managed correctly.
Do care companies send the LA time sheets showing hours delivered ? Anyone got a handle on this ? or does the LA take it on blind faith and keep paying regardless ??
Families using direct payments are tightly managed and checked regularly ? What about care providers ?
Has anyone on here been advised what your son/daughters personal care budget is ? If so how did you find out?
Please share useful info on this topic.
Thanks
