Carers association can be very helpful contact them but do you have any supportive family or friends who could support you. Also speak to social services as they to can help depending g on your daughters needs and yours. Make sure you get a carers assessment done asap and say carer breakdown as this will push things. Lot quicker as that’s the last thing they want so they may support a Lot quicker good luck

Yes I struggle sometimes too, with no one else to share the load. I told my daughters social worker and he very quickly came up with a little respite….it’s nearly sorted which is only one over night a month but even knowing that will happen made me feel better. Do you have a social worker? I think they’ll panic if you can’t cope ( or say you can’t) and will help…. Good luck, it can be really tough xxx

I understand completely how hard it is caring on your own . Getting respite was a life saver for me . If you can apply to Social services for an assessment for you both and really talk about the worst case scenario of your careing roll they could apply for direct payments for respite for you which you could source yourself . I know carers who get and rightly deserve quite a few nights per year, it will help you cope and recharge your batteries . I'm so sorry you are struggling I hope you can get some help . Take care
