Hello All
My daughter has now lost her home it occurred within 6 weeks of notice being served by her care team. The team had their own staffing issues 7 team members down. I received no written notice from the local authority who write these contracts or the Service provider.
Her autism /LD needs were not met by them yet the Local Authority still allowed them to do this. She is still paying her rent and has had to give 1 months notice. Everything we tried was blocked so that she could remain in her accommodation.
I want to know has anyone seen their young adults care contract that was commissioned by the local authority & the care team ?
What are the laws on this occurring what is in place to protect the vulnerable person & not the businesses ?
What are the laws that can stop transfer to an assessment unit just because the LA doesn't have another supported living option.
Real concerns here : How many of our loved ones have been placed in these short term options that are now looking permanent and who is doing anything to protect them?
Training investigators thats are truly independent ?
Any advice or knowledge would be appreciated
