I've found out I've a learning disability.

Hi all I've been through hell over the last few months. I was caring for my mum who has mental health problems. Who recently made me homeless. But she did help me a fair amount in the house.

I struggle reading spelling. Can't fill out forms and can't do mental math.

Aswell as can't really cope with stress.

I have been trying with the housing executive to get a prioty need assessment done for a homeless application. But my last GP was very unhelpful with this. I got a new GP with help from her friends and family. I got some medical history today and found out I have a learning disability but I was told it was just a learning difficulties. Unfortunately the letters don't go into any kind of detail about it.

I was just wondering if this would be enough to meet the housing executive needs

It is great that your new GP has been able to help. It would be worth getting in touch with housing people again to ask about this.
