Support or 'buddy' groups Wirral

Hi,

Does anyone know of any groups I can access for my daughter. She has learning disabilities and anxiety, lately she has developed signs of OCD and won't touch anything she sees as 'unsafe', which amounts to everything. She hasn't been out of house since last Nov and I really need to get her extra help other than GP and medications. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hi Lea76

It is a great idea to try to find a group to support your daughter. I have just had a look and found this - localofferwirral.org/listin... Is there anything on there of any help?

There is a also a local Mencap group in the Wirral - mencapwirral.org.uk/ If you contact them they will know what is available locally. They are based at 42-44 Market Street, Birkenhead, Wirral CH41 5BT. You can call them on 0151 666 1829 or email info@mencapwirral.org.uk

I know a lot of people are really struggling with anxiety about the easing of lockdown, and the fear of catching something. It would be worth talking to your GP about any concerns you have about this. Mind also have a webpage all about this - mind.org.uk/information-sup...

I really hope this helps a little.

Sarah
