My sister has learning disabilities and has support during the week. We are struggling thinking of things to do. She lives with my parents who are working from home at the moment. She is on support for 3 hours over 3 days. Bearing in mind my parents are around and working, does anyone have any ideas that are a bit outside the box so she can get the most out of her time but not disturb my parents too much? Things in and outside the house (obviously taking into account the current restrictions).
Thanks

Thanks for posting - I think a lot of people are concerned about this. There are parents all over the country (world) trying to get a balance between work and parenting.
I few idea that are working for my family:
* we have come up with a timetable. We have a family meeting every morning at 9am to talk about what is happening that day.
* is your sister happy using the internet? We are watching a lot of YouTube videos, particularly the exercise ones like the Jo Wickes one - youtube.com/channel/UCAxW1X...
* if you have a garden then it can be good to get out. We have a trampoline in ours which is helpful is the weather is ok.
* is there anyone who could help with cooking? Again this fills in the time well, but does need to be supervised.
* similarly, what about arts and crafts? It is a good chance to have have a go at new things. YouTube has a lot of ideas.
I think we all need to be flexible, and do what we can. Your parents might need to rejig their working days a bit to cope. I am sure people will understand.
I am sure other people will have some other ideas too,
I have breakfast, lunch and tea over face time / what’s app with my brother in care and also watch tv with him. Am going to try going for a walk with him. It all takes time
