On January 22, 25, and 27, the National Cancer Policy Forum, in collaboration with the Forum on Drug Discovery, Development, and Translation, and the Forum on Aging, Disability, and Independence, will host a three-part virtual public workshop, sponsored by the Food and Drug Administration. Workshop presentations and discussions will examine topics such as:
•The root causes that limit enrollment of older adults in cancer clinical trials, and opportunities to overcome these barriers.
•Strategies for inclusion of older adults across the drug research and development continuum, including early phase studies, trials designed with registrational intent, and postmarketing evidence development.
•Policy opportunities to encourage improved representation of older adults in cancer research and drug development.
