Ipi Nivo 2nd infusion

It may be too early to say; but I think Ryan has successfully gotten through the second infusion of Ipi and Nivo combo! I don’t know why, and don’t want to jinx it; but his body has responded well as far as minimal to no side effects to pretty aggressive medications. I can only assume it’s because of his age.. but beyond that, I think it’s god holding onto him. Didn’t even get a fever! (Spoke to soon) he did receive a side effect, folliculitis. It looks like psoriasis, but it isn’t. It’s coming and going. But by no means is it intolerable. And this has been a thing since the first infusion. But hey, it could be worse and we know it. No new pains, everything seems to be fine as of now. Also is FINALLY off the morphine! Which is SUPER exciting for anyone who has been following, he is in recovery so being off the heavy pain meds is a blessing. It’s a blessing that he doesn’t need them at all anymore. *enjoying the now* Ryan turned 29 on April 2nd, (infusion day) and besides being at the hospital to receive treatment, it was a wonderful day. We didn’t know if he would see this birthday; and by the way things are going, we are looking forward to many more ❤️ sending my love to everyone from Maryland, and hoping all are well. Xoxo

Kelly,

So glad to hear that Ryan is tolerating the treatment well. Wonderful news as well that he was able to come off the morphine. I can understand how much a relief that must be for him. Happy Birthday to Ryan. Hope you have a wonderful weekend celebrating his birthday and all this good news.

Happy Birthday to Ryan and super good job being able to come off the morphine. Pain management for persons in recovery is a particularly tricky business. I'm glad you are being able to have other positive elements in your life with the cancer sharing space with your whole life experience.

Receiving with gladness the love you are sharing,

Missy
