There is still a turf war going on so for me the message was hug and support those suffering only moving onto changing the way ME is understood when you have the strength because stressing really does not help us or our support network. Have to believe that someday soon there will be some justice a reason for holding on until the medical profession take over from quack theories.

If your memory is anything like mine the patience will be in a safe place, that cannot be found when you need it so go with what you have now. The other patience turns up when you stop looking just the same as the words that go missing when trying to hold a conversation.

I hadn't heard about this before and wasn't well enough to follow the links until now, but I'm glad I did today.

It shows Ricky gervais up for what he really is - a sleazy bully who will pick on the most vulnerable just to get a few laughs.

Shameless.

I note from he second link - the blog post - that Gervais actually admitted at one point that it was a cheap gag but said 'people with ME wouldn't be able to run after him'.

That says it all. Only have the guts to pick on people who are too unwell to fight back.

I would like to send his agent the link to the research studies that say ME is very similar as a neuroimmune illness to MS.

And the quotes about how debilitating it is, comparing sUffering in ME to patients with AIDS in the last 2 weeks of life.

if I'm well enough I will.

But if I'm not I won't make myself worse doing it because people like that are not worth it.

I hope one of the ME charities responds to him though, and othe National Autistic society too.

Because mocking people with disabilities in public shouldn't be allowed in a society where discrimination is illegal - it is under the Equality Act.

So the charities should write to his agent.

But apart from that we should remember idiots like that are not worth wasting our thoughts on!

And he all undoubtedly lose ticket sales.
