I was fortunate to have Medicare pay for mine. i have a Medicare supplement plan and all I had to pay was a $30 copay per treatment so my cost was around $1200 for the full treatment. i was even approved for a full second round of treatment but fortunately didn't need it. You do have to have tried a number of antidepressants before to show that they weren't working for you, I think my insurance required 5 or 6 but it may vary depending on the insuror.

Thank you for your reply. I meet all the standards to qualify. I have bcbs and after all 36 treatments they denied it. I need another round of treatments but at 500 per treatment, I can’t pay out of pocket again. My Medicare activates next month. I am hoping it will help with the cost.

You're welcome and I hope you are successful. I think my TMS clinic was very instrumental in getting my treatment approved, they knew how to navigate the system, hopefully your's does too.

how did you feel after the treatments? Any strange side effects? I’m afraid to do it. Does it also help anxiety?

Hi! The treatments are not painful at all. There is a little tap on your head for about 7 seconds then a break for maybe 30 seconds ( not sure about that one). The whole treatment lasts about 20 minutes.

It worked really well for my depression but sometimes you need a few rounds then maintenance to keep up the results.

I am not sure about working for anxiety though.

I recommend it for depression though.
