Time's running away with us - Friday’s here again, and with it comes your weekly invitation to get those pompoms waving for a fabulous crop of Springtime runners! 🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃
And whatever you do, don’t be late, because in the UK, Ireland and most of Europe, the clocks go forward one hour at 2.00am on Sunday 26th March! ⏰
Neatly avoiding that problem is Freecloud who’ll be running on Saturday 25th March in the Roscommon HM, also known as the Ros Run – eventmaster.ie/event/A1yKSj... Organizers promise a host of breathtaking views, taking in Roscommon’s castle, park, lakes and forest.
Staying right on time on Sunday 26th March are no fewer than four runners, all in different events. First up, aliboo70 in the Salisbury 10 miler, salisbury-arc.org/salisbury-10 This one’s billed as an all-ability, scenic course, following the banks of the River Avon through the gently undulating Woodford Valley and offering fine views of the cathedral spire on the return leg.
Running the same distance will be Cantstopmenow , only this time it’s the BTR Liverpool 10 Miler: btrliverpool.com/lhm-and-10... From what’s described as a grandstand start to a finish on the city’s iconic and world-famous waterfront, which includes the Royal Liver Building, the route takes in many of the city’s famous landmarks.
It’s the Wolverhampton 10K – wolves10k.com/course-map/ – that’s calling Time_Lord . Starting and finishing at Molineux Stadium, this is a distinctly urban race on closed roads that’s “gently undulating” (= flat as a pancake) and apparently offers PB potential!
Our final call is for RunBrianRun , who’s running in the Vets AC and Eastern Masters AC indoor combined championship. For some bizarre reason the organizers aren’t bragging about the stupendous scenery. Probably just as well because Brian’s so speedy that he wouldn’t have time to notice it as he sprints by!
