My first year of running - so plan to run Christmas Day even if it’s just round the block! 🎉 🥂 🏃🏻‍♀️ 🎄 🥰

But of course I will run! Abi's plan must be obeyed - I'm saving my jokers for later 😀

I'm going to be running a bit during the festive period, but I've booked Christmas, Boxing, NYE, and New Year's Days OFF! It seemed to me to be the most realistic strategy 😄 So I've called 'Other'...

I'm going to try—but this is always my busiest work period, and I'm also working on the launch of the new Scottish telly channel (plug plug plug!...coming February, promos starting over Christmas, this longer one has some cracking editing 👍) so I'm up to my eyes right now 😂😭 I've got a week off during Christmas and new year... just in time for the tax return. Oh my legs will be all feeble and sad by the time I get to finally go out for a long run!

In truth it's mostly just a massive headache right when I want to relax and enjoy Christmas! 😵

Unfortunately not - this is my first ever stint on the IC I’m afraid.

Twisted my knee slightly when running the Cardiff 10k a couple of months ago - not a big issue at the time, although I have been feeling it after every round of golf/walk of any distance since then. And then last week started a version of RoseAbi’s HM Plan - the second run was only a slow 7k on the treadmill, but after that I could hardly walk. Gave it a few days rest and then played golf on Tuesday - but had the same problem, and was again hobbling around afterwards.

The knee clearly needs some proper rest, so am now not going to do any running/golf or anything for a fortnight. If it’s not OK after that, I may have to seriously consider pulling out of my HM, which is set for mid-March ☹️

Yep! Our running club Wednesday run is still on Boxing Day so aiming to do that if the timings work out - going to Brighton v Arsenal later in the day 😄

We also have parkrun on New Year's Day and I'll be there x

I believe Bognor Parkrun is on Christmas Day, so I’ll be doing that if all goes to plan🤞. Then it’s back to HM training into new year🙂👍

Yes, yes, yes!!! I will need to keep my sanity being home with the children 😂

I am doing Red January as expecting January to get stressful. Half an hour of exercise a day... Perfect way to get rid of the day's angst

Yep. Parkruns on Christmas day and New Years day. I will be carrying on with my half marathon plan as well. A speed/tempo run and a 14k during Christmas week. A recovery run and a 6k during New Year week.

Had scheduled in just two runs for Christmas week, but after reading everyone else's plans I'm thinking hmm...maybe I can squeeze a quick run in on Christmas morning too! Sounds nice 😊 Boxing day we're driving up to Manchester, hoping to do a little jogette there with my brother and niece. Then back to the normal HM plan the following week, with parkrun on New Year's Day - that's the way to start the new year! 😁🎉🌟

Christmas in the sun with a cheeky winter break to Lanzarote, still managed to get some running in though. And the final training push heading into Brighton starts next week, so no let-up for me!
