π€Ά DEAR SANTA POLL! What's at the top of your Christmas list? Tell us more in the comments π
Please select one:
Jelly babies, the gift that never stops giving π
A six pack.πππβοΈ
Hydration vest and long sleeve baselayer π
Snap! You are starting to freak me out Linda, we started Abiβs plan at the same time, are going on holiday at the same time and now I find you coveting the same piece of kit π³π€π this is like having a doppelgΓ€nger π
Haha. Not really coveting it as I already bought it and hid it in hubbie's wardrobe for him to wrap
I'm going to guess from your user name that you're younger than me for starters! Although from my user name I guess I could be 93, 89, 38, or 25, 29 or 70, but I'm actually 57 so maybe that doesn't work
You are far more organised than me too, been dropping hints about the hydration vest but if Santa doesnβt bring one, the January sales beckon....
You guessed correctly, I am 45, a mere baby compared to some of the inspirational superstars on here, I hope I am still running when I am in my 70βs! π
Just looked at your profile - if you're running in Windsor you're maybe not that far away from me either
My hydration vest..is I think in Mr Of's study.... ju-ju- gave me the heads up on a good deal . I sent it to Mr OF
A popular item this Christmas π I got mine reduced from Wiggle. I didn't really know what I should be looking for but it was such a good deal I just took a chance.
Which vest did you go for OF? I have been looking at one in decathlon, only Β£15 including the bladder, but not sure how much abuse it will take, as grandma used to say, βbuy cheap, buy twiceβ.
And a pair of running gloves π
Nothing running related on my list! Now I've run through a whole year I think I've everything I need π
... Though I never say no to more socks. And buffs. I've about thirty of the latter but still buy them.
And I'd like the Icelandic running people to open entries for 2019 so I can actually book my plane and accommodation.
So maybe those things.
Ah, I thought I couldn't get more buffs as I have two already, but now I've read this...π
I have a buff for all occasions! Regular original buffs, a full range of merino buffs for cold days, a hooded buff which I've never even worn. Then there are souvenir buffs from holidays, themed buffs for specific events... I have a buff problem π
I'm not sure they are sexy, but I have asked for some double layer Runderwear socks. To prevent blisters. Even though I don't get blisters. I figure I will never justify buying fancy expensive running socks for myself, but if someone else buys them for me that's ok.
Another item further down my list is for all the family to come on a Parkrun with me even if they walk it. I fear I will be disappointed on this one.
Ahh that's a lovely thing on your list - the Parkrun. The socks though, just as well you don't get blisters - I get blisters even wearing the runderwear socks! Their knickers are ace tho π and my Christmas baselayer is from them too
Persuade them with a bacon π₯ sandwich from dotties or all your eat breakfast from the Malta Inn.
Oh one day I might reconoise you and say hello.
I have tried food bribes. I use the term loosely - Macdonalds on the way home doesn't perhaps count as real food.
Mr L-L has a new sports lens for his camera for Christmas. He could come and take photos and get a volunteer credit!
I am also looking out for Paul German who is on Strava and brother of TedG . Maybe we should list our distinguishing features or have a red carnation in our lapel and a copy of The Times under our arm....
For Mr Mutley to fix my driftwood medal holder on the wall! A gift that costs nothing but time...and drill skills! π π ππ
Hydration vest.... which..hopefully if I am very, very good I shall be getting
Bone conductor headphones. Sadly I don't think I will be receiving these. I've come across my present quite by accident. It was in OH's home office. On his desk with just a few sheets of paper partially covering it. Ah, well.
Wireless headphones! Sick of the fiddly ones I currently have π
I've ticked other, albeit it may come under "shoes", but there's a world of difference between new trail runners and Jimmy Choos!
Since I got my Christmas gift early (Garmin 735XT), I'll be lucky to get a box of Maltesers, but you never know...π
Hopefully a return ticket to Paris on the eurostar or a race entry into beerlovermarathon.be/
I think a fenix 5+ would be quickly tippex'd out.
I've discovered some great running underwear (The Other Danish Guy) made from recycled plastics recovered from the oceans! Very comfy and are now my goto running undies. I want a few more pairs for Xmas!
My list has vassos Alexander books on X2. I know a few have mentioned on here .
I'm buying them myself then giving to π to wrap. ππ
Also gonna get gait analysis in the new year.
Hope Santa is good to everyone x
Some four-pocket trail capris that I didnβt get for my birthday π π
