I tend to keep them on my desk for a year and then put them in my bedside drawer because I can't decide what to do with them. I did give my Beachy Head Marathon medal to one of my nephews, but all that did was confuse him, and then I wished later on I'd kept it :D

I gave my Captain Runderpants medal to my six year old grandnephew. He thought I was making fun of him and gave me the death stare of death stares πŸ˜¨πŸ˜‚

I hang them on a curtain rail corner in The dining room where I have a makeshift office πŸ˜€πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡

I place mine lovingly in a special box along with my race numbers... Sad but true! 😊

I have a skeleton on a bookshelf in my bedroom (I promise I'm not a weirdoβ€”I just liked him! He's got real character, he's called Mortimer Thrifty) and they hang round his neck. I only have three so far, but will have another three by the end of September, if all goes according to plan!

I keep all my race numbers too, in my running diary. πŸ˜‚ Every time I mention my running diary I feel silly.

You have a pet skeleton called Mortimer Thrifty but you feel silly about mentioning your running diary??!! ;)

Actually, I think both Mortimer and the diary are wonderful - would love to hear more about both! And see pictures :)

Well...now you mention it yes, I feel double silly! 🀣 I have always kept a diary, ever since I was about 11, but that gets a mixed reaction from people... There are big gaps, but I love to write and only work with pictures for my job (though do write the occasional script too, but it's all factual stuff and a bit dull) so it's a good outlet for all the words in my head. With my running especially, I really love to see my progress too. If I have a bad run I just need to go to the first few pages where I could barely run for a minute and suddenly I feel like superman!

That's so brilliant! I love it!!!

I just made a medal hanger. It also displays my archery medals which I have won. Overflowing the original notice board so making one out of a chopping board and mug hooks.

I keep meaning to get a medal hanger but not seen any I like , except v expensive ones. Might see if my clever daughter can make me one. Or one of my clever sons.....

They are so pricey! Sounds like a good idea :)

Mine are on a bulletin board with my race numbers and the course map from the walking marathon I did because I still can't believe I did that. The bulletin board is full now so I'll have to rethink how I display everything. Might have to reorganize the race bibs but I write my finishing time on the and place the medal/finishing badge over it (the trail race I run gives badges instead of a medal).

I'd not heard of badges being awarded before - nice one!

I'll make sure to post a close up thus year when I do my race report (now that I've figured out the collage thing 😁). They've gone retro with their badges this year.

So many different display ideas are coming out here! Love it :)

I can add that I have a mug tree on my desk to hang my medals on :D

Display them on a fancy hanger at home but not in a prominent place! It hangs in the small wall space outside the bathroom :D

Ah, a heartwarming emerging-from-the-bathroom experience then :)

Nope - ours are in the dining room for all to see - right beside a picture thingy - you know - one of those frames with 12 photo slots - just filled it yesterday and every photo is running related - even pictures of my daughter that doesn't run but volunteers at Parkrun! You can't escape the medals or the photos and when you turn to leave the dining room you see the A2 sized wall chart with our marathon training programme written on it! I think we should just call it the running room instead of the dining room!!!

I have a cork board with a line of hooks underneath, the cork board is covered in photos of the events, and achievements e.g parkrun milestone t-shirts, and mostly after events with running buddies wearing bling - I have one board per year - I must say it’s me and OH....not just me 😁

They’re not on prominent display really.....but if you happen into the dining room you can’t miss them....πŸ˜‚

I love bling! 😍

I bought some nice hangers in Helsinki last year, and have put them up in my office.

Keep them displayed at home separated into mine and my husbands, periodically counting them to see who has the most!

They hang off the light switch in the kitchen for a few weeks then get consigned to a drawer. I do look at them all sometimes. Have a couple of Christmas themed ones from virtual runs that I do dig out and hang on the tree come December. I probably should do something with the ones I am especially proud of.

I've started glueing magnetic strip to the back of them and then using them as fridge magnets!
