I was in a 5k race recently that started at 7:30 pm. It was only the second time I had ever run in the evening - it was weird, it was dinner time for heaven's sake!

Always morning, although I enjoy it, there's a feeling of getting it done and over...

Sometimes there is a feeling that you are the first one out, especially on a summer morning which is just beautiful, cool, bright and the sounds and smells of a new day begining, that and the joy of being able to run, bliss......😄

So long as I've had breakfast and it isn't too long since the last meal, I'm good (I've only once run pre-breakfast, when I was away from home, it was OK but I am not in a hurry to repeat it - I wake up hungry). This time of year I am quite often walking or running when normally I would be fast asleep. Given the sorts of places I run, and running alone (apart from dog), I don't go when it is dark.

Me too! Always hungry in the morning

I genuinely feel a bit funny if I haven't had any exercise first thing in the morning or at least, before work. If you see me running in the evening I'm having a "double".

if you see me running in the evening you are probably having a vision or something (very rare given the kids and work, also the last time I "had a double" was a double espresso in Italy :) )

Having a double... That's impressive and I love that phrase!!!

It's not something I do very often - although I will be having one later. It usually just means I didn't have enough time to run as far as I'd have liked before work.

I need to have had breakfast. I'm not one of those people who can run on an empty stomach and it isn't really early morning either. I do run in the evening if i haven't manged to fit ina morning run but it always feels like a bit more of an effort.

I prefer the morning, but rarely do i get to go out so early normally its parkrun are my morning runs and thats not that morning. The rest of the time is when i can fit it in, lunchtime or once the kids of gone to bed

Definitely a morning runner, sets me up for the day 😊
