Mine's simple but works for me 'you CAN do this, you CAN do this' usually said out loud!

I don't always need or use this but "You know, you don't have to do this if you don't want to" has been surprisingly helpful.

"Failure is not an option." (Unless you feel ill or in pain then it's allowed and it is called being kind to oneself😃).

I once started thinking "eyes on the prize... eyes on the prize..." at parkrun, how cliché! I did get a pb though... :)

I find myself using 'just keep running, just keep running' a la Dory from Finding Nemo !

Oh me too - when I'm passed the mantra stage full on expletives - out loud - is a must. Luckily I run in the middle of nowhere and have yet to be caught !

Not a mantra but muttering in a broad scots accent, "c'mon hen get yer erse into gear", often helps....... 😆

"it's okay, you're okay" normally when I'm panicking about someone potentially heckling me. Also when I have developed blisters and still need to walk a half hour back home before I can assess the damage!

When it gets tough I tell myself "these are the miles that matter!" And a lot of the time, since I started running actually, I remind myself to focus on "arms down and breathing" as I tend to forget to use my arms and to keep breathing deeply.

A new one came to me while out running.

This is a fat day, so get burning it b*tch!

No mantra just very heavy breathing. Seems to motivate those in front of me.
