I love running by the sea, just don't get enough opportunity! Come to think of it though, I don't get much chance of the others either!

Surely the most stimulating running environment is the urban one - I don't feel I've had a proper run unless I've passed at least one gasometer. :)

Sorry I should have added urban as an option!!!

There's nothing like having to jump over an abandoned mattress or two to give you that "parkour" vibe.

Country roads and farm tracks for me, although I am quite happy anywhere where there is not busy traffic.

I really want a mountain holiday this year, I've been looking at the Pyrenees... Especially as it will be cooler too but hard work 😎

Not sure about cooler JuJu, I'm near-ish to the Pyrenees, and it was very hot and humid this morning.

I agree with Curlygurly2 - I love running near the sea, but don't get the opportunity very often. Anywhere with water is nice though - canals and rivers. Lots of birds and wildlife and other things to look at, like people boating, fishing etc. Forest is nice too, and apparently running in woodland is very good for your mental health.

I agree. I run in the woods a lot at home and I can honestly say that I get something restorative and energising from those trees... Although it's probably just the extra oxygen!!!

That's true, when I'm in Cambridge I have lovely runs along the Cam. Not to many forests there though!

It is my dream to run by the sea, I am making do with the canal for the time being, and its so lovely. xxx

I know but I am in the landlocked Midlands! Fancy a canal side run though, must plan that once my wonky old legs are fine tuned running machines!!

Love running trail through the woods, but the terrain is not so fond of me! I've managed to prat fall at least 4 times in the last 4 runs... (the big tree roots are fine, it's the snapped off twigs and sticks that get me every time!)

That's hard it is really tricky.....

Urggg I voted coastal but I think I actually would prefer mountains!!

I voted forrest as I get the coastal run opportunity every day, but I think country tracks, and trails are my faves. I can get a bit spooked in forrests sometimes! 😆

I would love to run in mountains, but I'm not fit enough yet. Rig's 850m vertical run up a mountain makes me breathless just thinking about it. Hiking is bad enough, but I really do love it! Voted forest though, because they're cool too!
