I have just had my eye injections today. I was told the eye clinic is closing soon but eye injections will carry on for the time being

Greetings, Koalajane and Waddington,

Thank goodness. My appointment is tomorrow morning, and again next Wednesday. Guarded and trying not to be nervous as usual. I am thinking, Boris Johnson does not need these treatments, or believe me, he would think twice about a move like that. If I were your Prime Minister, I would set up a visiting service of teams of one doctor/one tech to travel to the homes of every patient needing treatment to ensure it happened....Period. CoronaVirus or otherwise, it is that critical. I am wondering if there is some way the Macular Society and all members could write and/or contact “the powers that be” and wake them up? Letters in volume can make a difference. By the way, there is a very famous doctor here in the USA who was treating patients; he contracted the virus, now hospitalized in intensive care. The doctors are not immune. The first Phase 1 Test Trial of a vaccine was administered yesterday in Washington State, to four test patients. Now they must wait one year. Perhaps they will accelerate the duration. We will see....

Stay safe,

Bunny

So much depends on what lock down really means.

The term is being used loosely by the media. In some countries it is just that but most appear to have exemptions or food, medical or urgent family reasons.
