Still waiting on first appointment at eye clinic. Been cancelled twice now they said clinics have been cancelled due to operations.

do you know your diagnosis? If wet AMD you should insist on early appt turn up at the walk in centre near you!

Optician said I had dry and we don't have walk in centres here

If it’s dry AMd then it’s not too urgent so don’t worry ! My dryAMD has been there for bout 10 years now

Print out an amsler grid ( online) so you can check for wavy lines - one sign of oedema

What are you waiting for a referral for and how long ago was the problem initially identified?

If there is any suspicion of wet AMD, then the NICE guidelines indicate that from initial identification to treatment should be no more than 2 weeks.

I'm in Scotland so nice doesn't apply also it's dry type. Appointment now 4 July keeping my fingers crossed
