Thanks for that. It would be great if those unpleasant injections were no longer necessary, but from tests on rats to trials on humans to finally being used on a regular bases may take some time. Still, it sounds promising and I am sure that sooner or later less invasive treatment will become available. Lets hope so, anyway.

I wonder why the drug companies aren't leaping to get something going. Dare one think they've not heard about this?
Apparently there is research going on at Birmingham University. So they do know about it, though it seems to be still at the Rat-Stage. Could it be that the drug companies prefer to make more money on lucentis and eylea? A nice little earner for them!
Roll on the day! I know there are worse things in the world than injections but still get nervous/ tetchy a few days before (my friends notice this!)
