My partner the vaccine and lupus

Hi all my partner has just received her vaccine letter and is very anxious about the whole thing she has discoid lupus with APS ( anti phospholipid syndrome) and for reassurance I’d like to know if anyone has had there vaccine with these conditions and if they had any side effects I understand every lupus patient is different but on a whole we wanted to get an understanding of the side effects if there was any or if you had a severe reaction thanks in advance 😊

Hi there. I have systemic lupus and had the vaccine. After the first shot my arm was sore for a week no other symptoms. After the second shot I had a headache the following day for about 10 hours but nothing to bad. I felt a fatigued but that is normal with Lupus so not sure if from the shot or not. Good luck. My suggestion is to take it because with autoimmune disease you need to protect yourself from COVID. My symptoms were extremely mild although we are all different but I was more than happy to get vaccinated. Good luck and be safe.
