Hi JtheXW !!

Apologies if you received my reply already. This machine appears not to send messages when it should!

As I recall, when I was undergoing treatment, I was advised not to stay out in the sun too much. I think it was when I was on radiotherapy. This was quite easy to achieve, as sun was at a premium up here. :(

Best, Bill

Hi Bill

Yes thanks for that, I will have to be more careful. I have not allowed the 'bits' where radiotherapy was aimed be exposed. I live in West Sussex and we have had a really hot week; I had a day on the beach with grandchildren etc, not that I'm a sunbather just out and about in it has been enough - thanks for replying.

Regards

Jenny

Hi Jenny,

you may need factor 50! I was told that you are more sensitive to the sun when you have had/having chemo. I've used factor 50 then down to 30/20 on holiday and still have a nice tan with no burning. I think we are so used to rubbish weather in this country we forget sometimes about sun screen at all when we are in the UK.

Hope everything is going ok for you

Hi Jenny

I have a similar reaction to you due to medication, rash which blisters and is very itchy. As Lyn does I use factor 50 reducing over time to factor 30 throughout the summer, even in this country. I also take antihistamine on a regular basis which really calms things down, it may be worth talking to your doctor about the latter.

Take care

Philippa

Hi Lyn & Philippa

Thanks for your advice; I have used a factor 30 but will up it to 50 next time and speak to my GP about antihistamine's - thanks

Regards

Jenny
