Hi Margaret sorry not sure I never lost weight when on immunotherapy and not now on chemotherapy. But I've not been on your combination. Hopefully someone on the same combination will answer. Stay well and safe xx

Hi Red58

For some, there can be either weight gain or weight loss with combination therapy. It is encouraging that you have an appetite and are still eating.

It is best if you discuss it with your oncology team or lung cancer nurse specialist. They may refer you to a dietician to ensure you have enough balanced and nutritious diet.

Macmillan support online provide some useful information on weight changes during cancer treatment: macmillan.org.uk/cancer-inf...

If there is anything else you would like to discuss you can either email us at lungcancerhelp@roycastle.org or call our free phone nurse led helpline number on 0800 358 7200 Monday to Thursday 0900-1700 and Friday 0900-1600

Hi Red. When I first started on the same treatment as you, I also lost weight; more than half a stone and I went down to 7st9lb. However I quickly put it all back on and eat normally. We have a good diet and I am now a bit concerned that I might gain weight!! After chemo sessions I was finding for the second to 6th day my appetite was diminished and I felt really tired, taking to my bed in the afternoons and sometimes not getting up until the next day. Since pausing the chemo for the last 3 rounds, I don't get these symptoms. I get the results of my scan next Tuesday and currently enjoying a break on Jersey in case I need to go back on the dreaded chemo. Take care and just be kind to yourself. Mags x
