Coughing blood

I been coughing up blood for a few weeks here and there. Sometimes I get sick and blood comes out. I was at softball got really sick puked a lot some blood came out with it. I’m scared to know if there is anything wrong with me. My wife and I are on a break and I’m all alone I have my kids but don’t need them to worry

I have had a small amount of blood in my sputum when coughing and it has not been a problem. Blood when vomiting is probably a vessel bursting from the strain in your gastro system, more than likely nothing to do with your cancer. But you need to talk to your oncologist right away. By the way I am a 12 year survivor of small cell lung cancer.

I agree with Amy. It’s not unusual to cough up a bit of blood and cancer is not the only thing that can cause it. A diagnosis should be pursued. If caught early lung cancer is very curable and you will be available to see your kids to grow into adulthood and become parents in their own right.

Do you have other risk factors? Radon exposure? Diesel fumes? Toxins? Tobacco use?

Yeah I dip. I am around diesel and other toxins. I passed out today at work not sure how long one of my helper found me. I don’t have memory of coming to this job or doing all the work I have got done. The blood comes and goes not a lot comes out. I lost about 35 lbs in the last month don’t have much of an Appetite I am also struggling with depression right now. Just a lot all at once. Still not sure I want to know or can handle anything else

Please get yourself to a doctor and get the diagnosis process going. Those kids are going to need their dad even if he is sick for a while.
