anxiety is relatively new for me and came about when I quit smoking but when I was going through a period of ruminating I looked into things that I thought could help me with whatever I was ruminating about. So for example, I went through a phase where my anxiety was about death and I was ruminating on all the bad things that could happen and about death itself, I felt better by researching statistics which showed that more than likely id be fine for quite some time.I also found a meetup group that discusses life after death and I found someone who specializes in the fear of death and chatted with him. I also chatted with close family and friends about my worries. I made it my part time job to help myself get over it. If this isn’t something you can do this for, meditation also helped immensely and walking/being outside also helped. My long drives to work also gave me too much time to be in my thoughts so I listened to books on audible on my drives. Wishing you the best!

Distraction distraction distraction. The more you ruminate the more you will so keep interrupting the thoughts and do something else. The more you do this the less it will happen and the more control you will have over them x
